DFC and NIME Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Empower Women Entrepreneurs and Drive Economic Growth in Belize

Belize City, Belize | Sept 11, 2024 – The Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the Belize International Network for Women in Business (NIME) are excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant milestone in their joint efforts to empower women entrepreneurs and promote economic growth in Belize. This strategic partnership aims to foster collaboration and support for the growth and development of women-owned businesses in Belize. It also signifies a major step towards DFC’s goal of positioning itself as the “Bank for Women”.

This collaboration outlines the mutual strategic goals shared between DFC and NIME Belize, which is to support the development of women-led and women-owned businesses in Belize. The scope of the partnership includes DFC providing financial resources and business development support to NIME members. Working together, both organizations strive to break barriers, promote inclusivity, create lasting positive impacts for women-owned businesses in Belize and foster economic growth.
