Loans Purpose:

• REHABILITATION  of economically feasible, existing citrus groves, adopting GAP practices: Fertilizer, Pesticides, Fuel, Labour, Machinery Services
• REPLANTING old citrus groves using HLB tolerant varieties, GAP, and other climate adaptation practices: Planting Material, Land preparation, Working Capital Inputs & Interest during the grace period.
• DIVERSIFYING into high potential tropical fruits including pineapples, soursop, and coconuts. Planting Material, Land preparation, working capital inputs, and Interest during the grace period.

LOAN SIZE

SMALL FARMER

• No. of Boxes: <10k Boxes
• Loan Size: $5K to $250K

MEDIUM FARMER

• No. of Boxes: <50k Boxes
• Loan Size: $5K to $500K

LARGE FARMER

• No. of Boxes: >50k Boxes
• Loan Size: $500K to $1 MN

TO APPLY

• Existing Citrus Farmer: (Belizean or Resident)
• Valid Photo ID – Social Security or Passport
• Recent Utility Bill (No older than 3 months)
• Financial Records
• Production Records – for past 5 years – CPBL/CGA/BCM to provide
• Letter of Recommendation – From your Citrus Association
• Adequate Collateral – Land title or title of vehicles & machinery
• Developed Farm Management Plan
• Procurement of HLB tolerant varieties from certified nurseries in case of replanting
• Insurance for insurable assets where applicable.
• Client Contribution: Minimum 20% of loan value (Existing Groves, or new cash or labour)
• Up to date property taxes
• For Companies: Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum & Articles of Association, Certificate of Good Standing, Resolution to borrow, Authorized signatories
