THE POSITION
The Staff Auditor is responsible for assisting the Internal Audit department in executing audits to assess the reliability and integrity of financial information, ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, evaluate the achievement of set objectives and safeguard DFC’s assets. These efforts are designed to add value and enhance the Corporation’s operations.
DUTY STATION
Headquarters Office, Belmopan
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- At least three years of related work experience
- Experience in the financial services industry is an advantage
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Execute audits as per the annual audit plan, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in planning and conducting internal audits, including risk assessments, data analysis, and fieldwork.
- Review financial records, reports, and operations to identify errors, fraud, or inefficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of DFC’s policies, Global Internal Audit Standards, and best practices.
- Prepare well-documented audit reports summarizing findings and recommendations for Supervisor’s review.
- Support follow-up audits to track corrective actions and ensure effective implementation.

- Ability to travel to branch offices as needed; this requires the possession of a privately owned motor vehicle and valid driver’s license
